Digital Fortress opens $100M data center in Virginia

Digital Fortress opened its $100 million data centre campus in Richmond, Virginia after acquiring the site for development earlier this year, Capacity reported last week.
The first refurbished data center is 250,000 sq ft, certified to Tier 3 with 4ms latency to hubs in Ashburn and Virginia Beach and direct connectivity to subsea fibre systems serving South America and Europe.
“We are offering Digital Fortress’ data centre solutions at an entirely new scale in the burgeoning Richmond, Virginia market,” said Juan Saca, CEO of Digital Fortress. “Richmond is a rapidly growing data centre hub that is a highly-connected and cost-effective location for enterprise and hyperscale customers.”
