海南至香港 “H2HE”海底光缆成最新亚太连接系统 - Hainan to Hong Kong "H2HE" submarine optical cable becomes the latest Asia-Pacific connection system
-
Recently, the “Hainan to Hong Kong Express (H2HE)” submarine optical cable was officially put into use as scheduled.
The media learned that the “H2HE” submarine cable directly connects Hainan with Guangdong and Hong Kong for a full 675 kilometers, and has the world’s first relay system carrying 16 optical fiber pairs to support becoming an emerging interconnection site in the Asia-Pacific region.
This will also increase the number of submarine cables connected to Hong Kong, increase network redundancy and line diversity, help related industries focus on one-stop services such as global dedicated line networking, and help companies plan dedicated lines based on their business plans to facilitate international business deploy.
Providing high-speed and low-latency connections has become a key factor in the business development of many enterprises. Therefore, the development of the global submarine optical cable market is believed to be able to accelerate the global digital transformation. However, this also involves many submarine cable technology issues, like this time HMN Tech introduced the world’s first relay system with 16 optical fiber pairs. Traditionally, due to restrictions related to diving equipment, the submarine cable system was limited to 8 or 12 pairs of optical fibers. The team finally solved this problem by improving circuit conversion efficiency, optimizing diving equipment structure and component integration technology.
